When it comes to CPU & MB, why don't you just use passive cooling on your existing PC? I have an old HP vectra P2 333MHz that is passively cooled(from the factory), works perfect. Except for the PSU, there's no fans cooling the system. Use it together with a quiet PSU and a suspended Seagate Barracu...

Well, the answer seems to be yes. The heatsink surely fits the Abit NF7-S (just pics) no matter what Zalman says, read more in this thread . All you have to do is to is the usual cutting of the clip. ---- This thread shows a simple way to mount a non A model on socket A motherboards with even less s...

Zalman CNPS7000A + Abit AN7??

Been looking at some pics and started to wonder if the combination is possible. Zalman says no (even if cutting the clip), but compared to compatible motherboards I'd say the difference for the distance between the socket and the nearest capacitor are sometimes as little as 0.5 mm. This distance is ...

I first saw it in Sweden maybe five months ago, didn't know it was such an unusual thing. The reason why most people haven't seen it is surely because it's an OEM only product. Still, it's kind a strange that I never read anything about it in some review. Megapart.com On the other hand, that's the O...

Sounds interesting. I'd like to try with a 92 mm Panaflo or something but the question is..

Does a 92 mm fan have the same diameter as the fan in a Zalman 7000?

Personally I'd go for a Soltek SFF, seems like quite good solutions and have 2x5.25 bays. The Alu front looks better than the plastic mirror front though.

Also available for Athlon XP.

No. Why a G4 instead of a G or G2.
G4 uses a newer low-noise PSU

However, the new Shuttle Zen ST62K (smaller, ATI graphics, no SATA, no AGP???) is even more quieter, thanks to an external fanless PSU.

15mm is quite a bit... and actually, Netgo's pics make it look like it needs more than that. I don't know if I've got that much space. Just check it out! You need a maximum radius of 55 mm (less at the base) from the center of the socket. http://www.zalman.co.kr/images/0311/7000A/462motherboard_dra...

At least if you have a non-nvidia MB you might be able to overclock with some software It is now confirmed desktop to mobile mod and L6 change work also on post week 39/2003 superlocked CPUs. On those CPUs, startup multiplier can not be changed (L3 bridges are blocked on those) but you can set multi...

Unless everyone at overclockers.com are complete morons, then the new Bartons are LOCKED HARD, as in Intel style. So you can cut and join bridges from now until eternity, its still going to be locked. Yep, just check this thread - they tried everything. If there's something they missed I'm sure the...

Thanks! Since I'm only been using older computers, I didn't know those possibilities. I think it's alright with some extra buttons, as long as won't turn the keyboard into a stupid, big, plastic "Multimedia keyboard" that takes half the space on your desk (I think Microsoft are the worst!). I like t...
