The Seagate data sheet does not say SeaShield on it, but does say SeaShell packaging and data defense. I think it is the same, they just do not use the word SeaShield

Are you sure that 100 mounts means 100 individual pins, not 100 fans worth = 400 pins. Just that 100 seems quite a small quantity to buy direct from a manufacturer.

it lets you set the read speed for CD / DVD from software. A 48 speed Drive operating at 8 o r 4 speed is silent.
