How about one of these?

You can replace the 80mm fan--I just have to get a 3/4 to 2pin fan header adapter.

The Silverstone SG05 looks promising: paired with a mini ITX Zotac 9300-ITX mobo you can build a little powerhouse or go as silent as you want. The Zotac. Even has a big-ass Scythe Shuriken revision designed for it. The mobo not the case though I think it fits. I still have an unused 3840 (or whatev...

AAAGH! The hard drive cage makes hard drives in it noisy as hell. I own 6 WD Caviar Greens and this is the first one that has literally driven me crazy with its incredibly audible grinding and crunching from all the seeking/writing/access. So much so I have to order a NoVibes III from the states for...

Thanks for the suggestions. I haven't switched it yet since I've been busy. I did get the store to swap out the E8400 for a Q8400 and temps remain the same. 40-45 C idle and 65-70 C load. So that's fine? This is with it 15-20 C outside. With summer there, things will heat up 10-15 degrees more. As w...

Shuriken: [air flow up or down]?
I have an E8400 (soon to be Q9400) that I'm worried may be running too hot. It's in a Silverstone SG02-F SFF mATX case like the pictures here: http://www.hardforum.com/showpost.php?p=1032548728&postcount=1 I have a Corsair HX520 PSU like depicted above and a Scythe Shuriken HSF on the CPU directly u...

Silverstone SG02-F
It's not quiet. The HD mounting mechanism is poor because they are screwed directly into the case, transmitting the vibration of seeks and accesses so that a WD Green is quite audible.

From Feb: http://xtreview.com/addcomment-id-8020- ... n-PCB.html
The 9800GT looks to have a shorter PCB length as well and may be the fastest available card in that size.

Might be best to drop MikeC a PM directly. The SPCR badge my Anitec SilenT3 comes with is quite nice. I saw some other forumgoer in the General Gallery section of the forum put one on their very nicely-painted Antec Fusion so I'm not sure how one obtains them--if MikeC gives them to donators or some...
