But ig SPCR were at some time in the future to decide to take such a route... how do you think they should or could do it?
It can't hurt to consider possibilities.

Re: Can I buy a system "from" SPCR?

It seems to me that SPCR has always been striving stalwartly to have as few commercial entanglements as possible, as that is a slippery slope in the realm of integrity. I'm aware that the modern way of doing things is having all these revenue streams and whatnot, but I think that would complicate ma...

Google May Call On Ring-Back Phone Ads For Revenue

Google has acquired a patent for ring-back phone advertising; meaning, a system whereby when you dial a call and are waiting as a captively attentive audience for someone to answer, the conventional ringing signal would be replaced by an advertisement. Google would engage phone service providers to ...

Re: Please don't put another Moron in the White House

Warren Buffett probably doesn't have much adeptitude at fixing the economy, even though he's a nice, grandfatherly sort of guy. And Mitt Romney, who profits from the system's weaknesses and doesn't even have the decency to admit it, probably not even to himself, is not the person for the job. Curio...

Re: Please don't put another Moron in the White House

Rather than have forum members bash each other, let's bash ideas. One idea that needs to be bashed is the idea that 'wizardry' is needed to fix the economy. 'Wizardry' will not fix the economy. Wizardry is precisely what screws up the economy. What fixes the economy is focus on basic, broad principl...

The Fed also buys private securities, not only US debt. This is the innovation you should be looking at, not QE. How come I haven't been invited to any shareholder meetings? Hmmm? Somehow I think the stream of influence flows in the opposite direction. Where can I find more information? Maybe if I ...

There's good reason to doubt that Romney has any human DNA. When he assumed office as governor of Massachusetts (in January of the year) one of the first things he did (and it was his prerogative, although I don't remember the details) was to cut back the already terribly sparse funds for the homele...

Some bizarre ideas about evolution in this thread. Reachable, you could really benefit by reading a bit about biology. Also the connection between Darwinism and Social Darwinism is pretty tenuous - and I don't think there have been any (non fringe) proponents of Social Darwinism since the fall of N...

Re: Please don't put another Moron in the White House

what is obvious, is you need to do a lot of reading up on DNA and how it works. DNA can be changed or damaged by particles produced by radioactive decay, ionizing electromagnetic radiation, and toxic conditions. That much is known, because it was able to be determined by relatively simple experimen...

If a person changes their body shape by working out in a gym for example, this will not be passed on because it is not changing their DNA. You misunderstand if you think I imply that wishful thinking can drive evolution. By "will" I mean intention, the mental state that gives rise to action. If you want big or strong muscles, just wishing it will not make it happen. You need to have the will to express strength in all your activities, ...

Yikes! I didn't expect such a vitriolic response. I'm not a religious fundamentalist. I believe in evolution. I don't believe in creationism or intelligent design. I was just trying to present a vision of evolution more in line with what's apparent and observable and less guided by dogma. Oh, well. ...

The Theory of Gravity, the Theory of Evolution, and many other major important science theories are pretty much absolute facts. Well, they aren't, actually. That's one reason why the fundamentalist theories still persist today in addition to childish clinging and fear of the unknown. If I were a sc...

Speakers without hats

I'm considering getting a pair of AudioEngine A2s. I would have to buy them sound-unheard, but that is not much of problem considering the universal good reviews (and they're just too cute.) I would place them inside a recess on my desk, underneath the monitor shelf. The front of the speakers might ...

Re: Steve Jobs is the Messiah and Apple is a Religion

I think the most notable thing about Steve Jobs is that he was interested in computers at all. Back in the early 70s only a real true nerd or geek (and those words didn't even yet have those present meanings) would be into them. Computers at that time were about COBOL, FORTRAN, Boolean logic gates, ...

Steve Jobs has 313 patents, http://www.nytimes.com/2011/08/26/technology/apple-patents-show-steve-jobss-attention-to-design.html all of them design patents. He could be considered one of the great industrial designers, if you take all facets of that art into consideration. What he seems to be is the...

I think you're wise to be cautious. It sounds like where you are there are storefront apothecaries where somebody prepares the herb prescriptions. That would give me some pause also. It can be different, though, with bottled, widely distributed branded products. Some herbal companies inspect literal...

I don't see "scam" written on this, because it's the wrong milieu for a scam. We know this represents a big threat, and we've seen how eve...

If this can be applied to compressors in air conditioners, etc., then it can be a great boon.

Assuming that it's used to make quieter units, rather than more powerful units with the same level of noise.
