Guess I'm going to have to wait for a 65nm or smaller Ati before I upgrade from my x1900xt...unfortunaly R600 is extremely disappointing.

Try benchmarking the new drive and see if there's any performance increase...

I discovered that my 7200.10 320GB drive was running in SATA1 mode instead of SATA2. To run in mode 2 remove the jumper that is used in the harddrives.

No real performance increases except for burst speed which jumped from 133mB/s to 214mB/s.

I hope there are plans to review many of the newest harddrives...F1 seems most interesting..

Let's hope for a release soon. I'm ready to take my chances with a bit noisier drive if that happens to become the truth just to get some extra performance.

Benchmark with Hdtune as well and let's see what it says...

Release date sometime during July according to what I read on another board, no idea if that's true.

Worked with my x1900xt and Nexus 120mm fan, unfortunaly temps were too high so I had to switch to VF900CU...which was too loud so the fan had the be replaced.

Are there any words about a release date?

Seems "open screw mounting flanges" means that you have to have the right type of fan so that it can be attached to the heatsink.
