Well, I have now placed my 320GB .10 inside my sisters computer and use two t166 500GB drives, and I can't really notice any difference in performance. There's certainly a difference in the soundvolume, as I've already said the Samsungs are much more quiet. According to fudzilla, the new Seagates wi...

I already have two 500GB t166, but would like a third HDD that is faster for windows and games (my Seagate .10 is only temporary and will be sold very cheaply to my sister). Numbers I've seen seems to indicate that the 7200.11 series is quieter than than 7200.10, and while this may not be true then ...

That's too bad. Might have to pick up a 7200.11 500GB instead...if those will ever come out too...alfred wrote:http://www.hartware.de/news_42808.html

I bought this monitor a couple of weeks ago but had to return it since I wasn't really aware that TN screens have so bad viewing angles and on top of it all it made a rather high pitchy noise. So I read a bit about different panels and went with a far superior S-IPS Philips 200WP7ES instead. Far bet...

a small tip
I discovered that my 7200.10 320GB drive was running in SATA1 mode instead of SATA2. To run in mode 2 remove the jumper that is used in the harddrives.
No real performance increases except for burst speed which jumped from 133mB/s to 214mB/s.

According to: http://www.techpowerup.com/reviews/Computex2007/Scythe/ It won't be released. "The Ninja is one few passive heatsinks out there and Scythe also has the all copper variant at the booth. I think it's certain that the G80 core is better than R600, which seems to lack in the texture department but is stronger than G80 when it comes to games with plenty of shaders. Atleast Ati has a 512-bit memory controller for the next core ready. I think I'll skip this generation alltogether and sti...

I did notice the audio difference going from Audigy 2 to the extrememusic (not not all X-fi cards have the x-fi chip), but that's because I have above average headphones and way above average hifi-system. No, it's because the SB 128 through Audigy 2 have had a crappy hardware resampler. Many cheape...
