I agree with mojo. I have both and the 510 usually seems fast enough for my general use. I was surprised at that. I have it with pico and if I had a SSD and 7 it would be even better.

I use the Asus EEE because I need one with a long battery life for use in the campo. I think the netbook linked to would be preferable future netbook for me. I really like my 510 desktop.

I am going to resurrect this older thread rather than start a new one about the same subject. I know Mike C. uses a 240e in his HTPC, or he did a short while ago. But where are these cpus being sold? Sandy Bridge

Here is a link to a short article that will give a simple explantion of Sandy Bridge. I get confused over what is included and when it will be released. Sandy Bridge sounds like an ideal solution for some of us. http://www.fudzilla.com/content/view/17669/1/ Am I correct in that Intel's 65w has been ...

Re: Low power HTPC - advice on last remaining parts needed

Hi everyone, Could someone please recommend a case and CPU heatsink that will work well with my MSI 785GM-E65 motherboard with respect to space to fit everything in and thermal design? I want to eventually add a graphics card so the case would have to support full size pci cards. Budget is moderate...

I have some kind of single core in an older machine. It is very slow when updating windows or just doing anything. Personally I will never have a single core anything again. Even a NAS, or anything, needs to have updates and the single core I had was frustratingly slow.

iPad, I don't get it.

It doesn't support Flash, It can't make phone calls. It has no USB ports. It has no memory card slots, or camera. While AT&T is saying it will have unlimited data download for US$29.95 per month, there are arguments being made that AT&T does not have network to support it. $630 for the AT&T version ...

I don't really know enough about these things to know if Noscript is actually needed. It just seems almost pointless, because if someone wants to write something to my ...

Take it from me, when compared to wood smoke, propane is not nearly the immediate health risk to people with respitory problems. While Neil is correct, Greg is also correct that wood burning puts a lot of toxins in the air. I've driven through small and poor towns where everyone clearly heated with...

Hello Greg, Around here we have Stagnant Air Alerts. The smoke can get so thick in the winter that it affects people's health. Hi Greg, Wood is much better than propane for one very important reason: wood is short-cycled carbon. The trees grew and they pull the carbon from the air, so when you burn the wood, the same carbon goes back into the air. Propane is old carbon, that has been sequestered in the ground for millions ...
