Modcom - One Zero (FM mix) (myspace)
I always like Ronan Harris's music better than his lyrics and singing. Also got me reading about number stations, which I'd never heard of.

Some of you are talking as if these are going to be replacements for the P1xx series, or as if they're all that's going to be available from Antec once all the P1xx's run out. Looking at the insides, these cases obviously aren't part of Antec's premium "Performance" line. I keep picking up this atti...

When he turns up, switch off your router. If he drives off after a short time, you can be fairly sure he's up to no good. Let that happen 2 or 3 times. Then, if he keeps coming back: instead of switching off your router, make a cup of coffee and stick it on a tray with some donuts, take them out and...

With 3.5 I had major problems with slow loading (>2 mins) after a fresh boot. Followed these instructions and it's now much faster to load. It has however raised two questions: 1) I don't use IE (apart from where it has been embedded in some apps like Google Sketchup) so why was there enough informa...

Hey Torajirou If they are the same as those on a P182 then they can be removed fairly easily without breaking them. They certainly look identical, and I can't think of any reason for Antec to change the part - for one thing it would be a totally unneccessary re-tooling expense. The fit is very stiff...

Don't know about the fan. My guess would be yes it will introduce some noise, especially if powered from the same source as your amp, but the only way to find out for sure is to experiment. How about a metal case/offboard heatsink? I'm not familiar with the β22. Will it really produce that much hea...

When he said polyurethane, I think BillTodd was referring to the sponge material. Anyway there's no hard and fast rule that says you can't put oil-based on top of water-borne, period. In many (most?) cases it's perfectly acceptable and sometimes practically required, but imho you're right to stick w...

Nice Look forward to seeing more.
And good choice deciding to roller. If you haven't already (and depending on how picky you are about the final finish) you might want to make yourself a tack cloth to use as you're painting?

Spanner of the week award (aka You Learn Something New Every Day #42): Doing a fanswap with all the internal power connectors still attached (perhaps due to a borderline-OCD cable routing habit like mine) does not necessarily mean you will not need to clear CMOS when starting back up. There was noth...

Have just bought an HX450W and am very pleased with it. The easiest way to sum it up is "Seasonic Plus". The fan has quite a large hub with the same markings as an S-Flex and is very smooth. Even running open-bench for a while, with it sitting directly on my desk with no damping, it was easy to live...

I'm not much bothered about water cooling, but I'm always a sucker for crazy mentalist overkill setups. To that end I point you in the general direction of Project Monolith: http://www.bit-tech.net/modding/mod-of-the-month/2009/06/16/mod-of-the-month-may-2009/7 http://forums.bit-tech.net/showthread....

Update: Replacing the Adda didn't work. As before, the PSU fires up for about 30 seconds (mobo still POSTs 83: ATX12V fail) then after the first 30 seconds the PSU cycles off/on then stays on for about 15 seconds in the same state, then continues to cycle off/on ever more rapidly until it's only sta...

Help! Fan swap seems to have killed PSU
Just swapped the fan in my Antec Neopower 650 Blue after the original Adda started grinding. The Adda is rated at 0.37A and I used an S-Flex-E, which is 0.15A. Now the PSU won't start properly - it comes on, fan starts up, stays on for between 1 and 20 seconds then cycles off/on again. My IP35-Pro r...

Then there is: " . . . in my mind . . . " Usage example: Politician being interviewed says "There is [I have, etc.] no doubt in my mind that . . ." Where else would he have doubt, in his toenail? With regard to "could care less": You'd either have to say " as if I could care less" or at the very least say " I could care less!" with the same overemphasised sarcastic tone as " I should be so lucky!" for it to make sense. Sadly, every time I've heard anyone say it they've done so with the same ...

I was just shopping for a new rig, and I think that I'm gonna buy the 1,600 rpm version. My reasoning that all of them have the same basic noise/airflow ratio, and all of them can be undervolted to silent. However, the lower speed versions cannot cool the pile of magma. I will be using a continuous...
