The hum happens because of interference between the two drives. The platters in them don't rotate at the same frequency, which then causes resonance, and which is then transferred to the case. Rubber gromets won't do anything about that.

You need to suspend the drives.

Actually, the more paste there is, the harder it is for the excess to be squeezed-out. What does come out, in the case of AS5, can be very dangerous.

Do you happen to know the % gamut relative to NTSC of the 2009 iMac 24 inch screen? I am happy with what I see on it, so it's a solid reference point for me.
I think it's wide gamut, but MacOS knows how to deal with it.

sRGB is 72% of NTSC gamut. Everything above that is considered wide gamut, and the higher the number, the less accurate the colours.

Don't most monitors include, besides the various "color temperature" selectors, an individual color level adjuster on a per-color-channel scale? They do. Since your monitor's controls are broken, go into your graphics card settings and you'll find some colour sliders there - lower one of the channe...

There is one color that I think one can most easilly notice is over-saturated: that is color red. For instance, looking at pictures with people (where they show their skin), the skin looks too reddish. Looking at images with red objects: red is very very vivid, maybe too vivid. Hard to tell. Maybe ...

It's an option, but it does nothing - it almost never does. Only top-end, *really* expensive monitors with 12-bit LUTs and the like can emulate sRGB gamut. This monitor can't.

Wide gamut is an inherent property of the backlight, and the electronics of the panel aren't capable of toning it down to sRGB. Whatever WideColor is, it carries no relevance to the subject of gamut. That said, if you are using the monitor in a colour-managed environment (and photo and video-editing...

The only way you could be idling at 45C is if the cooler isn't making good contact with the core. That's hard to believe, especially when load temperature is less than 15C higher. Temperature monitoring on new Intel CPUs just plain sucks. You can't trust it. Is the computer working? It is. So turn o...

1) $225 *will* translate to at least 225€ or £225

2) People content with 80 GB of storage space are also content with an old HDD

SSDs are still very far from having great value. But should I manage to win the lottery and stop worrying about putting food on my table, I'll consider them ;)

What Antec needs is a Solo with the looks of the Sonata, and it would sell like a lady of the night.

Firefox has been plagued by serious security flaws since it was first released - you only have the impression that this is something new or that Firefox really is secure. In reality, it's worse than new versions of IE.

Even if seek time was equal, the Velociraptor would stil pwn a short-stroked drive in real-world usage... Why? Because it has better firmware.

Anyway, like people have said already, it's called "partitioning".
