Well, it's definately not a Panaflo. Their 120mm fan is 38mm thick, not 25mm. Also, the part# and specs don't line up. Interestingly... "HydroWave" is a Panasonic trademark. Also, the picture has been edited. Note the absence of wires or sticker on the motor hub? Edit: PCMods took the Panaflo pictur...

Well, I think that both are very good coolers. I believe that a 100% Cu cooler has the potential for greater cooling capacity than an AlCu cooler would. On the other hand, I have an Alpha PAL8942 (Copper base, Aluminum fins) with a 80mm L1A at 12V and it's cooling my overclocked P4 2.4@2.7 no proble...

Well, if it had the name "Iomega" in front of it, that would be "The Click Of Death" my friend. I don't think your hard drive is suffering from that though 8) It might be part of the hard drive's "thermal recalibration" routine. But I can't be sure. I can't hear any clicking over the whine o...

I'm with you! I burned out my Dremel last year and I'm too lazy to go buy another one. Hence the Sonata purchase! Another option (expensive) is the D8000 from www.coolcases.com. It's an Evercase that's been fully modded to your specs. Just do a search for 'D8000', and you'll find lots o...

Well not owning either of the two, I'd hazard a guess that the SLK900U is better when using any fan! There's lots of reviews on the net but I don't think I've come across a comparison between these two big dogs. The SLK900 is more versatile because you can swap fans around. With the zalman, yo...

Well I have a Sonata and I really like it. :D But, based on reviews/comments by others here, I'd say go with the Antec SLK3700AMB for ~$74 (~£50). But a quick search through Newegg's website, you could do worse than the Enermax FS-501 series cases. Base price starts at $45 (~£30). Granted, that part...

Here's a link to a review. http://www.anandtech.com/video/showdoc.html?i=1797&p=3 Looks like it's built to compete with the ATI Radeon 9100 and has DX9 support. Looks good. Lets see if it performs though. Nope. This has about half the FPS performance compared to my Radeon 9500Pro. It'...

Yes, I'd agree. I'd go with either the Abit BH7 (great reviews all over the place) or the Albatron 845PEV-Pro. I have the Albatron board in my rig and it's rock stable and overclocks well. Newegg carries the Albatron board for $82 and the BH7 for $93. Both are bargains! I had my Albatron board runni...

Panaflo 80mm RPM sensing, anybody use this yet?
I found on Digikey the following part number: FBA08A12M1BX Digikey part #: P11039-ND Click here for spec sheet It looks like it's a 3-wire RPM sensing medium CFM panaflo. Has anyone used this and is it what the specs say it is? I'm using a 2-wire Panaflo H1A as my HSF on a rheobus (about 7-9v) but I...
