they coulndn't check such a thing Silly komplett :)! Of course they can do it, it's printed here whether it's NIDEC or JVC. (BTW that one is a NIDEC) :D Yeah, i know it's written on the back side of it, but komplett couldn't check directly on the drives, probably because they are boxed or something...

Planning a new system
Growing tired of not being able to silence my barebone, I'm thinking about building a regular system instead. Mainboard: EPoX EP-9NPA+ is the best i've come up with in terms of both being able to fit the XP120 and a passive NB heatsink. Im not totally sure they will fit, but it looks like it will.. ...

I have now exchanged the horrible superred 40mm ball bearing fan in my PSU for an hypobearing ADDA 40mm. It made a little difference, but the annoying noise is still there. I believe that it is my Diamonmax 9 SATA that's making the noise. Anyone had these disks and know what type of noise it makes? ...

I leave the bottom two pci slots open on mine to bring cooler air in for my vga card. I replaced the fan on my 6600gt with a 120mm Yate Loon on 5v and it gives me temperatures similar to the stock fan (84C peak on 3dmark03). With the pci slots covered, it went as high as 110C peak temp on 3dmark03....

It should be written on the motor on the bottom of the disc. You can see it clearly in the picture here. I'm not hosting it so it is possible that the link will go blank anytime.

The diamondmax 9 is not all that noisy, though my overall system is too noisy for me to say if it really is silent or not. One thing i can say is that it is HOT! I have a barebone with close to no airflow around the discs, but my old tower didn't have that either, and i can say that the disc is so h...

New Thermalright XP-90C
When i was browsing around for info on the XP-120 and my upcoming project, i found on thermalright website that they have launched the XP-90 in an all-copper version! Lets hope that someone can get their hands on one of these soon, so we can get a short review! It would be great with a cooler in (pe...

I have the KlossPC. It is not all that silent. Something in my setup is making a strange, higher-pitched whine. I have not been able to locate it, but the cpu-cooler for example is very silent, and my leadtek 6600GT does not make very much noise with the fan running 50% either. My best guesses is th...
