Hi Techno Pride I'm pretty interested in this, since I'm considering purchasing a PixelView GeForce 6600 128 MB (non-ultra, non-GT) and mount it with a Zalman ZM80D-2HP. Are your 6600 a plain 6600? What's your ambient temperature outside of the case? Have you measured GPU temperatures without overcl...

ATI 9600 XT versus GF 6600 versus Zalman ZM80D-2HP
Can a Zalman ZM80D-2HP cool a GF 6600 properly? (Non-ultra, non-GT, just plain GF6600. To be accurate, it's an PixelView with 128 MB) As far as I can see in the below picture, the GF 6600 shouldnt dissapite much more heat, than the 9600 XT (which is my other choise). That's assuming the 6600 dissapa...

I must admit, that I jumped right to the conclusion. But that's just me, back in the happy high fidelity days, I also read the conclusion, before I read the rest of the article, when I got the latest magazine 8) I havent read the full article yet, but I will. Actually, I look forward to having the t...

I've almost decieded to get an GF6600 from PixelView. With an Arctic Cooler 8) My reasons are as below: 1) Probably THE card with best bang for the buck, performance wise. 2) Heat production on the reasonably side. 3) The Arctic Cooler will help keep CPU and other stuff at a lower temp. Especially i...

GFX 5700 LE with Zalman ZM80D-2HP fried - next step?
Okay, I've fried my GFX 5700 LE with a Zalman ZM80D-2HP. Probably, it's my own fault. I'm ready to buy a new graphics card, but my problem is, that I'm not sure about WHY it fried... Actually, I'm pretty confused. And one thing is to make a mistake, but repeat it, NO! So I would appreciate some advi...

Coba 400W 12cm
Anyone with experience in quiting this thing? The official data is here: http://www.inter-tech.de/Englisch/Netzteilseiten/coba_12cm.htm An interesting point is, that the package says 400W like this site, but the label on the PSU says 370... It's reviewed here: http://www17.tomshardware.com/howto/200...

Hi Aleksi, thanks for your reply. I agree with you, there's several posts regarding decoupling a fan. However, I still think it should be a checkpoint in the PSU guide, to check if the fan makes vibrations, which goes to the cabinet... There might be users who dont like opening up the PSU, and thus ...

PSU mod sum up
Aleksi, I find your guide very usefull. It's a nice guidance in locating the source of the PSU noise. However, I believe one issue is missing, namely decoupling the PSU and/or the PSU-fan from the cabinet. At this point, it's my biggest noise source and I'm looking for inspiration and ideas to elimi...
