Really good to read about others builds, and an extensive article.
But when he went through the trouble on applying new TIM to the GPU, why not have a shot at the NB HS? Or perhaps even replace it? And the other one too?

And why the complaint on the number of fans? It may work for him.

Temp on RAM?

I don't think i've ever read a review where they measure temp on RAM. Still many have heat sinks on them. And heavy overclockers have fans on them too. So what are their operating temps? It's probably more critical on video cards. They have active cooling but there too are no information on temps. W...

I've been wondering why i haven't seen any rigs with copper tubing.
Can't be for corrosion can it? Nor for the cost? They're easy to get and fairly easy to bend. Why the need to solder?
Guess i can't give up the thought of trying water cooling. Though i can't afford it at the moment. :?

A friend has a case like that but it's another brand. I suppose Nexus just made a branded version.
It's nothing special at all. Almost kinda crappy. Lots of plastic. Sorry if i disappoint you.

I thought Passive PFC was for US and active for europe.
What's the difference between active/passive/non PFC then? Does one lose much w passive PFC?

Really strange. I can't find any 300W with active PFC for sale here. All have passive PFC. I'm confused.
And the ATX-300s aren't available at all. Pity.

Thanks Tibors. :) The postfix 'P' may stand for Passive PFC. I'm investigating. :) PNF seems to be for the European market and the PN for the US market. Different approving. Also different specs on the fan. The PN has a low noise 12cm fan, PNF only stated as '12cm fan' PN/PNF probably has passive/ac...

I don't expect anyone to read all the data of the PSU's, like on their website. I just wondered if anyone here has the knowledge :) Is there any other difference than the obvoius below? I have no intention of splicing the connectors.
I intend to use the connector that came with my Stacker case. I think it only connects the green cable. If it's necessary to splice the ATX connector, i'll pass. :(
It's little use to have a PSU only for a HDD, DVD and some other small stuff.

True, but 2 PSUs also will have twice the amount of cooling.
And if i'd use 2 less powerful ones, i may be closer to the sweetspot. :) Or maybe not. :)

Would dual PSUs run cooler and quieter? i.e. less stressed?

I'd like to know if it'd be a good enough idea to have 2 PSUs. How would the rails be distributed? How should the connections be distributed? My case is if i should buy a new solitary PSU or complement my Nexus 4090 with let's say a Fortron 350W. It'd be a lot cheaper. :) A small example. Would 2 30...

I'm not citing ~20% off the top of my head. Airflow w/ and w/o wire grill was measured with an anenometer on a half dozen fans/sizes at different speeds. Others have confirmed with fingers-at-the-exhaust testing. Try a search on the forums for likely terms... particularly by Katana. This goes back ...
