I doubt that the fan controller is any better than the one in the enhance enp-5136gh. But then no off the shelf psu can claim the best power circuitry, quietest fan controller profile, and quietest fan. You're better off, in my opinion, buying a well made 80+ unit, the quietest fan you can find, and...

Did you get the 10w or 18w version? The 18w version is now offered by swiftech as the mcp355. They offer this note of caution: "The MCP355 generates higher audible noise than the MCP350 and MCP655 pumps. This product is not recommended for users seeking silent operations" http://www.swiftnets.com/pr...

The silverstone element tested at www.jonnyguru.com uses an adda high speed sleeve bearing fan; the enhance enp-5140gh uses the same adda medium speed ball bearing fan as the seasonic 500w.

I'm not trying to sell anything, but I believe the akasa 80+ is made by enhance. Also, the silverstone element 500w, recently reviewed at www.jonnyguru.com , seems identical. He has also reviewed the enhance enp-5140gh. I ordered an enhance enp-5150gh a few days ago, a 500w 80+ oem unit, and expect ...

Either a laing d5 or ddc (10w or 18w version) would be a good choice. Laing makes them for swiftech and dd, so they are the same. I have a swiftech d5. I'm not sure why anyone would post that all ball bearing fans click at lower voltages. There are many examples of smooth and quiet ball bearing fans reviewd at spcr: 80mm adda in the neo he, 120mm NMB-MAT in the zalman zm460, and the 120mm adda in seasonic s12's. Early versions of the sp 2.0, including mine, with the fan speed monitoring cable connected to the mb would run the intake fan at full speed. Disconnecting the cable would allow the fan to run at a temperature controlled speed. Maybe that's the problem.

It's in the manual under cpu fan ratio. With cpu q-fan enabled choose the lowest percentage cpu fan ratio. Q-fan mode should be DC. It seems like speedfan should work also, but I don't know that much about it.

You probably won't need a psu duct with a watercooled cpu. The air inside the case will be much cooler as the heat is moved away from the cpu and into the radiator. Look at this top radiator installation in a p180 - http://www.performance-pcs.com/catalog/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=262&pr...

Maybe you could get an extension cable and hold the cable side connection together with tape or wire. Otherwise, you could buy a new connector and try removing the pins fron the old connector. I would think a repair shop could do that also.

You can always try running your computer without the case side and see if the temps improve. I don't think the hot air has anywhere to go and the seasonic, while quiet, is not noted as an air mover.

The s-flex is a sleeve bearing fan that uses magnets to stabilize the rotor shaft. This allows scythe to claim a 15 year operating life. A yate loon D12SL-12 or, from what I've read, a Global Win NCB is at least as quiet, and a better value.
