Not that the Fusion case should have any problem cooling a 90W TDP CPU quietly, but AMD just released a new lineup of 45W TDP Athlons.

Just plain beautiful! And never mind the noise; that case NEEDS a transparent LED-illuminated fan

Is the acrylic too thick to allow the rubber mounts for the fan? Just a little drilling might do the job.

How much modding would you need to do to mount the PSU in the 5 1/4" bays? That would leave lots of room for a CPU cooler and exhaust fan.

Are you sure you want a tower case rather than a cube? Most towers have the optical drive bays placed so you don't gain anything by removing them. Also, since you want a handle, having a large tower CPU heatsink might not be good if it's hanging off the side of a vertical mobo while you carry it aro...

For most purposes 2-3 1920x1200 monitors give you more screen real estate. Movies and games are an obvious exception. I have an HP LP3065 and will never trade down, but I've also liked working with multi-monitor setups. I'm a bit torn on what I'd recommend for others. A single 30" screen still costs...

Thanks, that should save people some gray hairs. Here's a pic of how it fits in a GD02. Unless you have a <8-9cm high cooler, it needs to be off center to clear the DVD caddy. There is room for something larger here as long as it has the right shape. http://a.imagehost.org/0119/nt01-e_in_gd02.jpg

Hi!, I'm going to mount my first gaming microATX-HTPC and Silverstone GD02 is perfect, good-looking and only 36cm depth but I want a dedicated powerful GPU like gtx275 to play 1920x1080 and everybody have told me that GD02 has poor ventilation with only 2x80mm fans and perhaps it's true, powerful G...

Skip the optical drive?

I was just out with a friend who had to return his 4870 because it overheated. While discussing the finer points of case airflow, he posed the question "Why can't I have my DVD drive on my desk instead of inside the box under my table?". That was something of an eyeopener for me. Most cases thet hav...

Hello and welcome to SPCR! Thanks! If your tv can accept a VGA connection, then you can get away with a good (780G, GF8200 for AMD, GF9300 for Intel) integrated video, otherwise the video card you chose will be fine. That's surprising. I'll have to look at prices and consider going with integrated ...

SilverStone GD02, can it handle all I want in it?

I've been surfing around for info for a couple of days. I haven't put together a system of my own in roughly 10 years, so I'm not very up to date on what's needed / what fits together. I'm looking to build a computer that fits in my bookshelf with my stereo gear and doesn't look too out of place. Th...
