you might have a mounting problem, because my 3200+ peaks at about 45C with the same cooler at 5v...and my case isnt as good as yours

nexus is easily quieter than the tri-cool on low. however, the tri-cool does push alot more air

Though you may have spent $50 on that hsf, maybe you were able to buy an OEM processor and saved $20 from not needing the stock heatsink. the zalman should do the job great. ive got one on my 6600gt and am very happy with it. at idle, you can run it passive. but at load you must turn it onto 5v
