I just ordered two of these for use in the top panel of my Cosmos. When they arrive and are installed, I will post first impressions in this thread. I'm very anxious to receive these, as I've been waiting for someone other than YL and Aerocool to make 140mm fans. The YL's had bearing noise issues i...

Re: Antec P182 side panel
Hi! I am new on this (great) forum. I have one simple question. Is there any way to get new side panel for Antec P182? Because mine is damaged/broken. Those plastic "clips" are broken. If the case is less than three years old, you can contact them via their website to request a replacement panel. Y...

if you hate fans, why not try a little mod i did: mount your power supply externally, while utilizing the rear fans like: http://i59.photobucket.com/albums/g319/stranx44/IMG_0848.jpg works wonders for keeping temps down, since the psu itself radiates heat inside. I think you should post your own th...

Thankfully after a lot of searching I finally found that they're called P-Clips here. Really needed to find that name as there is a huge variety of cable clips out there so 'cable clips' alone really wouldn't help, plus modding the ones I've found wasn't really a realistic option. Anyway now my onl...

Re: PSU fan mod... will I be ok?
How do I turn the AAM on? I tried Maxtor's tools but couldn't find it. The QuietDrive is soft-mounted in a 5 1/4" bay by using the drive rails with screws and the HDD silicone spacers inbetween the rails and QD case. Have you tried resting the QuietDrive on foam to see if it cuts out noise/vibratio...

Thanks for the pictures, Stefan! It looks pretty good in this picture: http://photo15.yupoo.com/20071204/155845_631436481_oyvgztld.jpg :D Too bad the front door and top arrow vent are too hideous. ;( Anyone else notice the new redesigned (less restrictive) filter doors? Yes, after you pointed it ou...

I've been using this as a testbed for the past few years. It's super-easy to swap out hardware, and runs very quiet: http://www.black-talon.org/pics/2/Tech_Stn_01_0800.jpg Can I ask a favour please? Any shortcuts to learning how to get that thin & even spread? I've never succeeded in spreading a tiny blob over the IHS or other. However, a couple of weeks ago I read about someone spreading the blob by using their finger (in a food bag). Arctic do have good instructions on their website - have y...

An 80mm fan on 5v or 7v seems to cool my fanless northbridge cooler quite well (thank God). I have an A8N SLi Premium, reapplied paste to the heatpipe cooler but temp was still hitting 40C so I mounted an 80mm fan which seems to have done the trick. Now at 32C. I also pointed a fan at a Zalman coole...

hm gives me so many ideas :) not pretty ones but it really doesnt matter. the fun tac technique is a bit scary though! kinda not solid. How To Cool A Graphics Card Cheaply (Dial Up Warning?)
Not sure if anyone's suggested this before - Dead PCI card (well it's dead now). Hole's been cut with a Dremel. http://img441.imageshack.us/img441/6568/dscf0098cp0.jpg White blobs are UHU White Tack (softer than Blu Tack IMO) http://img152.imageshack.us/img152/8075/dscf0100lf1.jpg Side view http://i...

Re: Seasonic SS-400ES for P182 case?
With its straight-through design, this seems like an ideal power supply for the Antec P182. I cant find much info on it though. Anyone have any thoughts on this or experience with this power supply? Check the original P180 review - the one Ralf Hutter did. He used a Seasonic Super Silencer and the ...
