Find out where the noise comes from. You should post your current setup in full, maybe your graphics card or another device makes a lot of noise. I don't know what you mean by better.
It can do all the tasks described in your first post. The Intel SS4200 is also a bit loud, but you can buy a long network cable and put it an a place where you don't hear it. So it's probably not better, just a different solution with different pros and cons.
