IIRC the Biostar M7NCG 400 has what you want but be careful as there was a version 7.0 several months ago that had the "good stuff" removed. There was so much noise about the change that a newer ver. 7.2 was released that returned all the adjustments.

Search on this site and look at the "Customer Reviews" onNewegg's site where it was selling for about $66 shipped.

I recently started using a Soltek SL-75MIV2-L and it is very configurable - I'd check for sure about the multiplier setting you ask but right now the board is in an HTPC (with a 35W 1.35V XP-M 2400+) which has a graphics card which insists on doing NTSC in the BIOS- and it's only plugged into a PAL TV, and no monitor.
I'll try check this weekend.

I considered the Biostar M7NCG-400 but there was so much conflicting information that I didn't want to risk it.

EDIT:
Ok.. I've plugged it into a monitor for a bit and the BIOS in the Soltek can do the following:
Multiplier: 5.0 - 14.0 in 0.5 step, and then 14.0, 15.0, 16.0, 16.5, 17.0, 18.0
CPU linear frequency: 133 - 233 in 1 MHz steps
CPU Voltage: 1.100 - 1.850 in 0.025 Volt steps
AGP Voltage: 1.5, 1.6, 1.7, 1.8Volts
DIMM Voltage: 2.5, 2.6, 2.7, 2.8 Volts
I had some Crucila PC3200 in it at the time and a 35W 1.35V XP-M 2400+.
Weird thing is that when I first plugged it in it was successfully recognised as a mobile chip but defaulted to something like 1.5V or thereabouts.

I went with the Biostar M7NCG 400 version 7.2 and have been pleased with it. It allows voltage control down to 1.30V and control of the multiplier up to 12.5x. That last item does pose a little problem: an Athlon XP-M 2400+ is supposed to run at 133 MHz x 13.5 = 1800 MHz; at a max multiplier of 12.5, you can only get up to 1662 MHz. My solution was to run it at 166 MHz x 11= 1826 MHz (close enough). With the Thermaltake TR2 M3 heat sink (basically an 80mm case fan on a big heat sink), it says 10+ degrees Celsius cooler than my old XP 1900+, even with 24 hour test runs of Prime95.

On a slight tangent, I used an Athenatech A301 micro-ATX case, which I have been happy with as well.

I liked the specs on the Soltek board, but I had a really hard time finding a US vendor for it.

i want to get a moblie athlon but im not sure which one to go with.

2400 1.45v
2400 1.35v

or any of the higher end mobile that run on 1.45v

is there a good reason to go with the 1.35v over the 1.45v or vice versa?

will the 1.35v goto 2.2Ghz with less voltage than the 1.45v ?

want it to run at about the speed of 3200 desktop with less heat so i can turn down the fans

anyone had any experience with mobile athlon on a Gigabyte 7NNXP

Unless the price difference is very large go for the 1.35V 2400, it will more likely go to 2.2ghz with less voltage than the 1.45V version.

im going to go with newegg and get the 1 yr extended warranty since it is OEM

1.35v is $95
1.45v is $77

or do you think the 2500 or 2600 both @ 1.45v
would be better.

personaly i think the 2400 1.35v would go higher and to 3200 at the lower voltage to give the lower temps and lower fan speeds.

so what are our thoughts?
