Is Asus K8NE-Deluxe Undervoltable?

Post by mkraus1970 » Fri Jun 17, 2005 8:59 am

The Asus K8NE-Deluxe is on the undervoltable list, but on the Cool 'n' Quiet list, the comments mention that this board's bios does not have undervolting options. Is this contradictory or am I failing to understand something?

Edit: I meant to post this on the undervoltable motherboards discussion page. Sorry!

It seems this board does have undervolting options. Look at the BIOS screenshot in this AMDZone review.

EDIT: But why not use CnQ instead of undervolting?

CnQ will get idle temps low. But since you have to use the default voltages and speeds, load temps will usually be higher than they would with a good undervolt/underclock. And load temps and stability under load is more important than idle temps.

I would like the capability to use both of them, maybe even simultaneously!
