Wise to run Athlon XP 2200+ at a lower voltage?

Post by ez2remember » Fri Nov 29, 2002 2:38 am

Hello,

Just wondering if I could lower the voltage of my Athlon XP 2200+ CPU, to reduce the heat it dissipates. At the moment it is using 1.72v, according to AMD 1.65v is anough. Is it possible to run it lower than thiis without having any stability problems?

There is some individual differences in athlon processors, but most of them can be undervolted heavily without stability problems.
