I hope I don't push forum topic boundaries too far with this question. :oops:

I am trying to quiet an Air Conditioner to help lower ambient temps of my computer in a hot location (among other reasons). Window A/C's have become *intolerably* loud in the last few years. I found the lowest noise machine I could, Rona's Forrest (rebadged Whirlpool) 6200BTU unit, but the fan still spins too fast at lowest setting.

I know this forum is full of fan undervolting/silencing and electronic geniuses, so if anyone has any relatively safe mods for a relative novice, feel free to take a look at the guts of this unit (if this works):
