I'm moving my home office in an open area that is unfortunately, quite close to the bedrooms... So, I've been forced to hook up two keyboards and use one of those awful rubber ones when my wife is sleeping (not a heavy sleeper..). Now I have to kill the mouse clicks and I'm looking to get a tablet. I don't need it for cad or anything, just something to use as a mouse. Any suggestions?
Thanks!
Tablet

How about using accessibility functions to use the keyboard numpad to move the mouse and click. This is a lot slower than using a mouse, but you will only use this when your wife is asleep, and hopefully you don't work too many hours while she sleeps.
Also you will soon realize that you can use keyboard shortcuts to do 99% of everything you use the mouse for.
Personally I use the mouse less for every day that goes by.

Well Wacom makes great tablets. They have a relatively inexpensive one called Graphire. Last I saw the Graphire2's were about $50. The new Graphire3 is about $100.
But one thing to think about is that the included mouse still makes click noises, so that means you'll have to use the pen (stylus). And that could get annoying...

Yea, I know I'd have to use the pen... hm. Is there like a touchpad that's any good? I'm just trying to find something that's the least annoying..
As scary as this sounds, I'm almost able to type normally on this crappy keyboard now.. wow.

A touchpad would work perfectly, but you'd have to search around to find one that is seperate from a keyboard. All the one's I've seen are built in.
EDIT: Oops, spoke too soon. I found some links to touch pads that make be helpful.
