yup. seems mighty empty.

[edit] just a thought... maybe having the channel on a minor network makes people not want to go there. how about efnet or undernet?

I co-started a channel on a very minor network and it sustains 20-30 people most of the time. Thorough the history I've had two people ask why it wasn't on a more popular network. Most of the members aren't hardcore IRC veterans - but those tend to idle most of the time anyway.

I just don't think a well-run forum-based community like SPCR has a need for an IRC channel.

Servers like EFNet do not have services either, which can be a huge pain when you're trying to keep control of your channel.

Bump!

I've decided to stick this channel in my auto-join. Seems floffe's got it in his auto-join as well. Anyone care to join us?

I placed it in my auto-join as well. It's me and floffe in there now.

Perhaps using another server will lure more users to the channel.

serenia.net has 89 users compared to 70 239 for the biggest server network quakenet.
