AMD64+sonata

Post by maverick1983 » Sat Aug 06, 2005 7:43 am

here's a pic of my system, comments welcomed! new system currently being selected

Image

this is an:
asus k8v deluxe
amd 64 clawhammer 3000+ with zalman 7000b led
1024 corsair twinx pro
3x seagate hd
radeon 9800pro with zalman heatpipe
antec sonata with standard psu
antec standard 120mm casefan
nec dvdr
plextor dvdrom
audigy 2
hauppauge 350

with zalmans set to low my temps are
cpu 49-55
mb 40-45

altho i wouldn't consider this a bad thing because clawhammer are hot i'm not happy with my temps and the noise. I tried unplugging the casefan for a sec and that was much quieter so i ordered a nexus to replace it with.
Lets just hope my temps won't suffer that much!

Perhaps you could get better airflow and some lower temps if you cleaned up the cables?

So, the PSU is too noisy? I'm about to order the same case myself, but I guess I could use the sonata PSU to an older computer. It must be quieter than a standard PSU for a cheap case any way.
