Looks like your components could put out quite a bit of heat in that fully enclosed cabinet, I wonder if that is a concern? Also, your center channel on the floor probably gets a lot of reflection off the hardwood floor, does that sound ok?
Nice furniture though, you seem very fashion forward. Are you from europe by chance?

Thanks for the compliment! I live in the bay area of California in United States.
The components do put out quite a bit of heat. The cabinet was originally fully enclosed, but I removed the back panel due to the same concern you had. Luckily the components block the view to the back so it still looks like a fully enclosed cabinet.
I'm happy with the sound though I'm not very critical with my sound system. I don't notice any reflection. The audio system was originally 5.1 channels but I removed the rears speakers because I didn't want to have wires running to the other side of the room. I guess it's a 3.1 system now (left, right, center and sub)? My audiophile friends think it's sacrilege to neuter a surround sound system.

It's the first revision of Logitech's diNovo Media Desktop Laser so it's a little different from the version they sell now. The one I have has a single mouse charger that is also the bluetooth receiver instead of mouse charger plus bluetooth dongle. I don't use the detached numpad much so I put that away.

The foam helps with any high pitched noise from the hard drive, video card, psu, etc. I'm more susceptible to high pitched noises so that foam has been great at eliminating those frequencies. I have 7 fans in my P182 because I'm overclocking the q6600 to 3.2GHz. The only thing I can hear is a nice low hum from the scythe 1200 rpm fans. I also wanted to add the acoustipack because I think it gives the case a nice clean look.
This is my old P4 2.4GHz that I rebuilt to be my bittorrent machine. I replaced the old Antec PSU with the Corsair 520HX, three 3.5 hard drives with one 2.5 hard drive in a Scythe SQD2.5-1000 2.5" Internal HDD Silencer mounted with Scythe Anti-Vibration HDD Stabilizer 2 for 3.5" HDD. I removed the video card because I only connect to it through Remote Desktop.
There are three fans in the computer, one nexus 80mm exhaust, one scythe 120mm CPU fan and one 120mm in the PSU. Although this is an aluminum case, this computer is extremely quiet.

The TV is a Samsung lnt5281f and outputting 1080p.
I originally had the 2 Seagate hard drives in my ReadyNAS NV+ but eventually replaced them with 4 Samsung HD501LJ hard drives. Since I wasn't using the Seagates for anything else, I thought I'll try out a RAID setup in the P182.
I'm using the Raptor for boot and the RAID 0 for pagefile and data storage.

If you see carefully you see that there is small plastic "wings" you can push in with a small screwdriver and pull everything out..Justchill wrote:Can you explain how you replaced the low chamber antec fan? In my case it's really stuck inside some plastic surrounding. The plastic surrounding is clipped onto the metal and I cant reach the screws.
