Post Your Workstation setup

Post by Rewdoalb » Sun Nov 09, 2008 8:15 pm

I'd like to see some pics of everyone's (silent) computers in their (silent!) workstation environments. Mostly for inspiration, I suppose.

Unfortunately as a college student with only a laptop, I don't have any pics to post at the moment. Perhaps someone else could start us off with some pictures? :)

Isn't this forum filled with photos of workstations? :)

No, I mean the room, desk, speakers, monitor, keyboard. not just a picture of your open-case rig!

edit: i know the speaker arrangement is all fucked up. i dont use it that much, and hope to be moving out soon (gotta find a freaking job) so i dont want to drill more holes to mount the speakers.

Pretty plain so far... New house, new desk... Rest of the room is empty. I need to clean up the wiring too.

Qu!cK!! PLEASE reduce the size of your pictures. It's almost impossible to view them and it's against forum policy.

The other 'speaker is off to the left; my "listening position" is in the sweet spot on the end of the couch which is behind the camera.

I have a slight problem in that I never get to sit there because, somewhat ironically, our aged and completely deaf cat sleeps there 23 hours a day.

Haha, that's hysterical. Maybe the cat likes the vibrations? I used to have a dog that was deaf but he still barked a lot. Once I clean up my room a little I'll post my current setup.

Nice tannoys, blackworx, but why run the P182 with the side off? :)

My setup as of very recently, got bored...:

Desk from IKEA.

if it weren't for M-Audio's incompetent drivers, i'd be very satisfied right now.

i'm proud that i tidied up this past weekend though, makes the desk look neater.

*sorry for the shaky photo...no easily accessible tripod, and my wrist is all messed up

I suppose you where referring to me...
In sweden it's named "GALANT", comes in many sizes too.
Optional PC rack is available as well.

well, if you look just behind my two monitors, you see my sisters end of the desk...or rather every part that isnt mine.

but i'm all happy now, got my soundcard working again.

eventually i'll set up my desk with my mixer, mics and a reverb rack...but not for a while.

Well spotted - the build was pretty much brand new when I took the photo and I was still tinkering. All closed up now :)

@ bonestonne - that's what my desk normally looks like. I've got all sorts of crap piled up round me atm. Can't even get in to my CD player right now

heh, the chairs were bought when my family moved into this house i guess, quite some time ago (almost 10 years).

i hate having clutter around my desk, i go crazy...too bad the whole desk isn't mine though (i wouldn't mind setting up my audio stuff and doing recording again when no one else is home).

i was looking into SFF, so i could move my system away from this desk, but there's just no room (but of the two SFF candidates i have, a VIA C3 866mhz and a P4 2.8ghz).
