I recently built this little Q07 Build. We're cramming a lot of power in a little space here, but I think they turned out awesome, especially for how quiet it is.

Since they are in an office space you can pretty much always count on the hvac to cover up what little noise they produce. The scythe is very quite, and the video card fan is quite if not under load. Of course, no HDD noise.

I have done a total of three AMD motherboards and one Intel i3 Board. I might write more later, but I'll show you some pictures now.

Couple things learned:

• I'll tell you now, the Scythe Low Profile heatsink *didnt* fit on the Gigabyte motherboad, blocked the PCI-E Slot.
  Some m-itx motherboards use 240 pin DDR3, and some use 204 pin ddr3 [laptop memory]. Luckily I looked.
  125W CPU in a motherboard that only supports 95W CPU’s? Turn a core off. This happened when i tried to put an extra phenom II X4 965 in the ASUS motherboard.

These builds had the following parts:

• Lian-Li PC-Q07
  ASUS M4A88T-I Deluxe [AMD] or Gigabyte GA-H55N-USB3 [Intel]
  GSKILL Memory, the cheapest I could find. Always seems to work, after buying about … 100 sticks of it for work. And personally buying 2×4GB for home for myself.
  AMD Athlon II X4 620 , Intel i3-530, and I was even stupid enough to use an unsupported AMD Phenom II X4 965.

I belive the mouse is just a painted on effect. Very nice build I love small builds like this and really like the looks of that case.

Nothing happened to it, that's how they look.

I like the case though, and I definitely agree on the cx400 from Corsair, but I have put several Antec 430W's in computers, and I don't think they're that bad. I like the layout, I think the only thing better would be if it were modular.

The whole thing runs fairly warm; you can feel the heat radiating off the aluminum case. otherwise the power supply moves enough air to sort of keep the case a reasonable tmep [50c?ish].

How about flipping the CPU fan over to pull air through the heatsink? That way the PSU ja CPU fans would be working together instead of against each other. Could result in better temperatures.

Better flip the PSU so it gets air from outside.

I didn't think about flipping the fan, if I build anymore I will try that. We use these at work for our meeting rooms.

I just bought an Asus M4A88T-I board for a Silverstone SG05 build, and I was curious if the Big Shuriken would fit. Based on your pic, it looks like it fits the motherboard perfectly. Even clears the PCI-E slot which I was planning to disregard completely. Guess Asus did a good job with their CPU placement on this one.

I already have a Geminii cooler that I am going to try passively first, but if it doesn't work out, then Big Shuriken it is. Thanks for the really helpful pictures.

Btw, when you say the Phenom CPU is unsupported, you mean because the Asus motherboard doesn't support high-watt CPUs right?

It supports a lot of Phenoms, click on the CPU support list.

Yes, it supports all 95w chips. but not 125w phenom's. Unless you turn off one core. Then it complains but it seems to work.
