The Sacred Lost Ark
Just had to share this picture, while I was taking reading of some enzotech, notice the halo around it as the laser strikes, it even looks better live.

I'm sure there are Top Men working on it.

Re: The Sacret Lost Ark
Sacret... was it sacred or secret?
Re: The Sacred Lost Ark
Excuse my ignorance but I gotta ask.... what is that thing, what does it do, and why is it glowing
I know it is in your htpc because I read your other thread.
It's just that I don't know enough about parts etc to know what it is.

That object is a copper mosfet heatsink, while the glowing is the laser thermomether beam which hits its surface.
Re: The Sacred Lost Ark
Naaa, quest_for_silence got it all wrong!
It's not just a heatsink - it's a tiny air-cooled nuclear fission device, with open air cooled rods, basking in the glory of the Holy Atom, bringing life to an otherwise sluggish HTPC. The stream of neutrons, though a little chaotic, enevelopes the nearby PC components in Cherenkov radiation and speeds up the rate of travel of data bits. See, this little device is the next in PC evolution and the ultimate OC device - a true plug & play gadget of the atomic age.
