Hello,

I want to share my custom Fanless PC. Maybe interesting for others....
Already 3 years running, but still...

Based on Asus H81T with i7.

Keeps super cool because of the big cooling wings.
Luckily there is a commercial heat sink available fitting perfectly to the akasa Galileo housing.

Wow, that looks amazing!

As an aside, for best performance of a passive heatsink, you'd normally want the fins to be vertical (for thermo-buoyant flow), not horizontal. It probably doesn't matter much in your case because you have such huge (overkill, in a good way) heatsinks (and you've been successfully running it for years), but I mention it just as an FYI. Could be a neat experiment sometime, compare your temps when vertical or horizontal.

Unfortunately, the fins of the +PR177/190/SE heat sink are arranged as such. I have mounted it with M3 threads through the 8th rill of the heat sink to the akasa housing to guarantee maximum heat transfer.

Beautiful :)

Some more details would be very welcome. Any pictures of the inside of the case? How much did the heatsinks cost?

What components are you using? How are the components attached to the heat sinks?
