Ditto, but substitute Viewsonic/Logitech.Ackelind wrote:Black with brushed aluminium/silver.
The color sceheme of the P180 fits nicely with my silver/black LG monitor, my silver/black Ultra-X flat keyboard and my black mouse!
All black? What's with you folks voting all black? Sheesh, get a Dell, if that's how it is...
Personally i like all black. always have, even before it got popular. im not gunna switch to white just cause its the new "popular" color of the month. I like how it matches the other electronics in the home like the TV, dvd player, reciever, etc etc etc. i just think it makes sense for it to be black.
plus i dont want my computer sticking out. and if it was glossy white like macs, it would stick out plain as day.
which brings up another point. i dont want it white just cause i dont want it confused with being a mac. mac's are white, pc's are black. good and evil. evil must triumph. "YOU DONT KNOW THE POWER OF THE DARK SIDE!!!"
plus everyone knows that black pc's are faster.

Erm, price, convenience of ordering? Anyway, Dell seems to be moving away from black to silver (or white - hard to tell since I haven't seen it in person) with their XPS line.wainwra wrote:Hmm Maybe there's a reason Dell are number one?Freelancer77 wrote:All black? Why would black, white and red be the only options? Those would be among the last options to me. Besides gray, I'd also be fine with blue, gray-blue, aqua, bronze or copper.ozdoc wrote:What about one all black, and one all white base model, with an optional brushed aluminium/silver bezel that could be purchased to go on either? Everyone happy. (except those wanting red....)

Dell is the top retail computer maker today for one reason only, and it isn't black cases. NMCI. That stands for Navy-Marine Corps Intranet. A $7 Billion+, ten year contract that flushed Dell with a massive amount of cash, enabling them to upgrade service, product construction and increase their offerings of decent quality low-end gear for the masses. All in all, a major coup for them, and that's all good. They have handled it well, and there's no question that they now have the best manufacturer-based service setup ever.wainwra wrote:Hmm Maybe there's a reason Dell are number one?Freelancer77 wrote:All black? If I couldn't build my own better and for less, I'd likely get a Dell. They've gotten stronger, quieter and more stable. Pop open a recently built 380 and you'll find a Ninja-sized heatsink inside. That's a good sign for a mass maker.
Yes, Dell is starting to turn from the all-black. The gaming XPS is silver-faced on an otherwise black body, and the new slim XPS200 is all silver. Other business chassis and workstations are in a muted silver-gray with black faces in the optical drive area.
But don't expect them to turn out anything in white/silver like the P150.
It should be solid yellowish-brown. Then make the front parts a bright pink. Now that would look good.

I like it just how it is, though I wish they would have gone for a glossier white, where you can hold your hand beside it and see the reflection. The P150 in white and silver is my case of choice for my next system build. I've already got my Panaflo Low OEM fan ordered, since they won't be around for too much longer, and also an OEM panaflo 80mm fan, just to try.
I like the current scheme as the case is geared towards functionality and classic form rather than bling.
But all the votes for all black?? I wouldn't touch it.
I voted for all silver, as I'd like something that can join my pile of A/V equipment in my study...I know there are plenty of other options like that, but I like the P150, and I want one. That's all.

Just tack on "in the front yard" to the end of that and it sounds like my neighbor's "bitchincamero" (yes all one word and if you can help it, try to cram it into two syllabels)lenny wrote:Primer colored, with the case sitting on cinder blocks.
I'll take mine Dodge red with black trim. And if that's not an option I'd have to go with the black/silver paint scheme of the P180.
White all over with red highlights, Famicom style! Or just how it looks now isn't bad
Black clashes hard with my Macs, so the white and silver is a nice compromise. PowerBooks and Power Macs (silver), iMac and iBook (white). Then the Mac mini is both so it looks good with all of them. At least until I see it in person. Very nice.
