Case roundup @ THG
15 case roundup right here!
Hmm, some interesting details but, overall, what a poor review...no mention of airflow, component temperatures, let alone acoustic properties...
The one thing I did like about the roundup was that they tested with four hard drives in each case. Maybe this is something that SPCR could look at...after all, I'd guess that many if not most people here are enthusiasts who have more than 1 HDD which needs cooling, silencing etc, etc...
Perhaps it would be possible to test cases in a maximum quietness configuration with just one HDD, and then again in a "maximum storage" setup with most or all of the drive bays offered by a particular case occupied. I guess this might be a bit of a pain from a time point of view though...

Ya, neither THG nor most of the other big reviewers care to test acoustic/airflow properties. Gives a good run-down of build quality and features, though, which can be equally important for us silence freaks, too.nick705 wrote:Hmm, some interesting details but, overall, what a poor review...no mention of airflow, component temperatures, let alone acoustic properties...
