3700BQE side pannel lower latch won't stay closed.

Enclosures and acoustic damping to help quiet them.

3700BQE side pannel lower latch won't stay closed.

It feels like it is clamping down too hard. This is a new case, and it doesn't appear to be bent. Has anyone else had this problem or know of a way to fix it?

I don't have the BQE, but I do have the 3700AMB, and I've noticed that with my case as well.

It seems that the lower latch plastic sticks, and doesn't move smoothly. As for how to fix it, well, I haven't really looked into that.

I sent an email to Antec asking for advise also, and perhaps a new side panel.... I'll post what they say when/if i get a reply.

Check that the side panel is sliding forward enough. The problem you are having is usually not the side panel, but the front of the case not letting it slide forward enough to seat, and the locks at the back are not contacting the case in the proper points.

I have a BQE, and to me it is somewhat similar: Both latches close, but the top latch seems to be rougher while closing the latch. The lower latch closes smoothly, whereas the top one has some resistance against it. But hey, it closes, and nothing looks worn/broken, so it's all good :P

Haven't seen that problem on my 3700BQE, and I've been in and out of there dozens of times.

Problem solved

Antec never responded, so last night, I decided to try and fix it myself. I studied the latches for a while and it became obvious that the bottom latch was just pulling too hard. I bent the piece of metal the latch grips out about 2mm so it wouldn't have to pull so hard and now it stays closed like it's supposed to. no rattling either.
