Hi,
I am interested in a Antex case. I know I can order one from an on-line shop, but with shipping and all it is a bit pricey. Besides something in me says there must be someone selling these things in the SF Bay Area. Antec is only 15 miles from house!
Suggestions?
jerry
PS. Would the Sonata be as quiet as a 3000B and a Seasonics 430 with a AMD XP 3200+?

Antec Sonata's are often available at the big box retailers like Circuit City, CompUSA, etc. Some stores are now advertising $30 mail-in rebates, probably in anticipation of the Sonata II. Check their websites.

No, the Sonata PSU 380W is a bit quieter than average, but not as quiet as most Seasonic PSU's.
You can easily get buy with a Seasonic S12 380W PSU for your system.

Also Central Computer in San Jose - I stopped in a few weeks ago to actually get my hands on one, and they were happy to crack the box for me since there wasn't a demo unit on the shelves yet.

I got my Sonata (as well as Phantom and Zalman heatsinks) at Central Computer in downtown SF. They're all over the Bay Area. http://www.centralcomputers.com/ not affilliated with, but heartily endorsingjack_aubrey wrote:Also Central Computer in San Jose - I stopped in a few weeks ago to actually get my hands on one, and they were happy to crack the box for me since there wasn't a demo unit on the shelves yet.
