ANTEC P180 @ Retail?
Anyone able to find an Antec P180 at any of these retail stores:
Circuity City
BestBuy
CompUSA
I ordered mine from ZipZOomFly but it will arrive next week. Far later then the rest of my other parts will come in. I was planning on buying one at retail then returning it once I get the case from ZipZoomFly.

Sounds like a lot of work, installing and then uninstalling all your parts, and then lugging it back to the store, making them return it, then having to resell it as used, just because you can't wait a week....trance wrote:Anyone able to find an Antec P180 at any of these retail stores:

I've seen 'em at two of my local Frys this week for $159.95. No mention of a rebate though.liquid_celica wrote:How much was the p180 before the rebate? $160?Vulcan wrote:argh. Someone needs to put a frys in PA.Mystr_Byrnz wrote:I found a stack of them at my local Fry's today, much to my surprise.
I took one home with me.
It even came with a $30 rebate! Best price I've found and I have it now.

yeah. $159.99 and $30 mail in rebate. No mention of the rebate in the store, but the salesman told me about it when he rang it up.
The rebate form they gave is the one for the outpost.com, so I guess they're honoring it online as well as in the stores.
I'm so glad I bought it from the Fry's right down the street as opposed to online. When I got it home and checked it out, the latch for the bottom intake hole door was not working. It wouldn't hold the door shut. Much easier to take it ten minutes down the road than having to deal with RMA stuff.

The sales people at Fry's are, to put it mildly, not the best in the business, though there has been exceptions of course (I notice they tend to leave quickly though). Make sure it's not a rebate for a P160 that you have.Mystr_Byrnz wrote:yeah. $159.99 and $30 mail in rebate. Edit: tried to check the rebate form on outpost, link is broken.
I had to ask 5 guys at fry's if a dual rail power supply would work with my athlon 64. And the one guy who answered my question was wrong.lenny wrote:The sales people at Fry's are, to put it mildly, not the best in the businessMystr_Byrnz wrote:yeah. $159.99 and $30 mail in rebate. I also bought an ABIT microATX board for a friend. Sticker price: $59.99. When the guy was printing out an invoice, he mistyped the SKU number. I walked out of the store paying $12.99 + tax = $14.06

Well, I wanted to take the case from the retail and just give them back the one with from ZipZoomFly (when I get it). I don't know if the retail will check the case itself to see if its the same one though...?Hellspawn wrote:Sounds like a lot of work, installing and then uninstalling all your parts, and then lugging it back to the store, making them return it, then having to resell it as used, just because you can't wait a week....trance wrote:Anyone able to find an Antec P180 at any of these retail stores:
