I did it, not like a madman though, and it worked perfectly! Thanks!

hmmm.... I did that, and the silver part is now almost flat to the door. however the door still bulges out from the body about 2mm....

Mine also bulged at the bottom, and what I did was just pull the upper part out (with the door installed) and it's now perfect!

I did that and while it helped in the short term, the ultimately the door went back to it's original bulging state.

Right after I did that procedure the door went almost flat, it still bulged about 2mm from the case, but if there were magnets in appropriate places in the P180 faceplate it would have stayed flat. However next day the door went back to it's rigid state, it bulged 5mm from the case. Couple more days later and now it bulges almost 1cm from the case. Nuts!

You have *got* to be kidding me. My Antec P-180 case just arrived today and, not only is the door warped, but the silver material stuck to it is coming off as well. Then there is this from their web site:

Image

First impression out of the box: this thing smacks of shoddy workmanship. I'll try the goofy "bend it back and forth" method as described on the website, but I'd ask the reviewers here to append their P-180 review to include this obvious manufacturing defect in their notes. Oh yeah, contrary to their website claims:
...This problem has since been addressed in manufacturing...
the case that I just received today still has the problem.

Thus far, I'm NOT happy with Antec.

Well, that was interesting. One certified "backyard, shade-tree kompyouter, do-it-yerself fix" later, and things are better, but not nearly to the level I'd expect from the cheapest Fry's case from China.

I'm calling the guys down at Antec tomorrow AM and requesting a swap of the defective door (junk for quality). I'll post back here with my results.

On a positive note, the side panels are fine and the inside looks to be really solid and well made. Oh yeah, this thing is really heavy too...

Marc, it might very well be fixed in manufacturing but the retailer/reseller you bought your case from had older P180s in stock. None the less, good luck getting them to replace it.

It only took one night and it's back to the original position. JazzJackRabbit, you were right...

I had my P180's front door replaced (well I got a new one via my retailer who got it through an Antec distributer). It's a slightly different design, in that it has magnets in the centre, and the power switch is a bit different (no on/off symbol, and magnetic).

There's zero warping, or if there is, the magnet is more than strong enough to compensate for it. Also, it doesn't take much force to open the door.

I made a new thread with pics of the replacement door.
