It really is an interesting case.qviri wrote:Just read through this thread again.
The l'il one with a mATX PSU for $89 looks mighty interesting.
... just when I thought there was no real benefit to mATX motherboards over ATX. *tosses mATX board and NSK 3300 into requirement-list for fall s754 upgrade*

Looks really really great, too shame they don't have more pictures of the thermal chamber. I am really interested where and how the HDD goes.spolitta wrote:It really is an interesting case.qviri wrote:Just read through this thread again.

Edit:
I guess I will answer my own question. Looks like it is screwed from the top with screws going through the HD vertically. If the screws are attached to some rubber gromets, that are on between the bottom of the hard drive and the case... wow it looks silent. I can image what it doesn't sound like when you throw that chamber full of foam. The psu looks pretty non conventiona. Let's keep our fingers crossed that it is truly silent, because it looks to be one that is hard to replace. I guess I will need some sort of filter to the top exhaust/intake because I always end up having all kinds crap on top of my case, food crumbs etc. that falls from my table or socks... (I have a habit of keeping my feet on the computer table or on the case).
The 3300 is looking perfect, assuming the PSU is equivalent to the seasonic sfx psu.
Is there a place between the PSU and HD that the wiring passes through? I guess there would have to be.
I hope it doesn't have side vents.
Does it look like there is a 2nd spot to mount a hard drive on the case floor to anyone else?
The upper chamber may be a little deprived of airflow to the HD IMO, anybody else agree?
*imagines that + dual core + 6150 chipset + 7600GT (90nm, passive, ~ 6600GT) + dampened upper chamber and suspended/foamed HDs + swapped fans*

Yep.vapb400 wrote:Is there a place between the PSU and HD that the wiring passes through? I guess there would have to be.
Nope, hurray! But let's hope the top vent hole doesn't let much noise out of the case...I hope it doesn't have side vents.
I thought about the same thing. I look at it from multiple pictures and it looks like it has grommets there. Just didn't mention it before, because I wasn't really sure.Does it look like there is a 2nd spot to mount a hard drive on the case floor to anyone else?
It looks to me like they have removed the top to show chamber at the top of the case for the PSU and optical drives.nick705 wrote: And it appears to be "upside-down"....
Also, it seems from the pics as though it has very thick case walls - is this a false impression from the camera angle, and it's simply the way the upper chamber is constructed or a non-standard way of attaching the panels, or is there some kind of acoustic sandwich being used...?
