I'd appreciate comments about what filter media you've found that combines:
- Effective dust filtering, and;
- Minimal flow restriction.
I've been using 1" thickness loose-mesh fiberglass media, cut from air conditioning return-duct filters. It's tucked between case front bezel and metal case front, and seems to provide excellent air-flow, but hasn't been in place long enough (modified new case) to assess effective dust-filtering.
Suggestions?

Do a forum search for "pleated" and you will find the most fruitful threads about dust filtering.

Yep, I've nicked Bluefront's idea to use a pleated car cabin air filter. It's made out of some kind of woven fibre material. It's somewhat restrictive, but the large size together with the pleats increases the surface area enough to make resistance negligable.
