Antec NSK1300 ?
I was just looking at the case comparison for the new Antec NSK cases when I spotted the NSK 1300. A microATX case with possibility for 120mm fan in the rear doesn't seem like a bad idea to me. I've been looking for a mATX case that is as little as possible, while still allowing full-size PCI cards and no riser cards.
Now if I could just find some pictures of this to see if it looks even remotely usable... But the specs look good...

Perhaps you meant the NSK 3300. If so, in addition to pictures on Antec's site, There is a thread in these forums about pictures from CES including a lot of our raving about that case. Hope that helps.
Actually, no.
Check http://www.antec.com/pdf/NSK_family_infor.pdf . The matrix shows the 1300, 2400, 3300, 4400, etc... Though the 3300 isn't all that big either...

It's just about the same as Aria; but no card reader

Greetings,
The NSK1300 PS and/or the exhaust fan seem to be different from the Aria? There is a top intake grill for the PS, it seems. The front bezel seems to be a lot better...and NewEgg has them in stock.

don't forget the NSK3300, which is a great little case, imo! altho maybe it isn't quite tiny enough for you.goink wrote:A microATX case with possibility for 120mm fan in the rear doesn't seem like a bad idea to me. The case definitely needs some more air coming into it. Seems the power supply slows the fan down below 40C, so that is pretty much where the temperatures stay... CPU temp and HDD temp both around 42-45 degrees. CPU fan speed seems irrelevant, since the air inside the case is also warm. CnQ not helping drop temperature either.
That said, I like how it looks. Assembly was a bit painful, but not too bad, really. And I have not installed the slot fan yet. That should help a little...

That's a nice little (big) review of the case installation from start to finish - quite good to see how it's done, and that it can be done, in such a tiny case. It makes me want to create a cute little Internet/Office box out of the NSK1300 just for the sake of it. Might have a go at that next year as a project....
Personally I dig this case.
To be fair, it is not used as a main gaming/computing machine. I use it as a room TV/DVR. Even after watching TV and Recording for several hours the temp never seems to break 40 C. I am using all PCI slots but no slot fan, just default cooling.
Running a P4 2.4 Intel, Nvidia 6200 256Mb video card, Soundblaster Audigy 4 sound card, 1Gb Ram, and of course the WinTV PCI tuner card. Works great as a TV using a 19" wide flat panel. I have the DVD and only 1 HD so it does leave the two extra side HD slots open for ventilation.
Only thing I had to change was disable the cool blue lights in the front. They were very cool at first but quickly became VERY bright if watching TV (or sleeping while recording).
I am thinking of grabbing another one of these as a game console for the living room. Have an Xbox, but I have way more games for PC than I do the Xbox. Will have to see how that goes when gaming with it.
