Quiet, compact eATX case

Post by Schlotkins » Tue Jun 06, 2006 5:15 pm

I know the title of this topic is an oxymoron, but are there any nice quiet eATX cases out there in the mid-size variety? I'm having trouble finding one.

Thanks,
Chris

The ChenMing 601/Antec 1000 (reviewed ages ago on SPCR, it's on the recommended list) can take some eATX boards. I know from personal experience that the CPU fans on some SuperMicro mobos conflict with the HDD cages- if you don't mind losing them/suspending them elsewhere, you should be OK.

I believe that model was recently replaced by the Antec Titan, you can have a look at that one too.

The titan looks nice. I'm a little confused on these specifications. Newegg says the case can support "Fits up to Extended ATX(30.5 x 33 cm ) including CEB Specification." What the heck is that??

And then this supermicro board is EATX but seems too big?

This is the board I really want, but I think it may be too big?

Ugh... maybe 1 socket space is for me :)
