nsk2400 - top cover closing

Post by bendit » Tue Jan 23, 2007 12:50 pm

Hi, I had the top cover off my case for a number of months.
Now when I have gone back to this case and tried to close
the top cover. But now I find that it seems to get stuck about
1/8" from closing all the way. Something seems to be blocking
the cover from closing flush against the front of the case. When
I look at the underside of the case, there are some notches.
I wonder if those are bent in the wrong way? Can anyone give
any advice on what may be keeping this from closing that last
1/8"? Thanks

regards

Did you check the back of the case? There might be a security tab on the back ( or on the back of the cover ) that's a little bent.

thanks for helping. i figured out the mystery.
there are a series of little latches on each side of the
top cover. mine got bent DOWN and they need to be
parralel to the sides of the case. i took a needlenose
plier and bent them all back up and now there is no
impediment to closing the case. I think I bent them down
over time because I wasn't sure how to put the top on
and take it off correctly. thanks again.
