Room for Ninja Mini in an Antec NSK1380?

Enclosures and acoustic damping to help quiet them.

Room for Ninja Mini in an Antec NSK1380?

Post by Vicotnik » Sun Oct 12, 2008 1:18 pm

I'm planning a new build, in a SFF case if it's possible.

I was thinking the Antec NSK1380 with the PSU removed (will be using a Pico PSU 120W) and a Slipstream 800RPM in it's place, a GA-MA78GM-S2H and a X2 4850e with a Minja.

Will it fit? If not, is there another passive cooler that does?

well if you are using a pico psu you should be able to fit it in, I think some other members have done so in teh past.

If you will be using a pico and you pull out the drive cage you can fit a "normal" Ninja in it.
Like I did.
I dont think a Minja will fit under the drive cage.

Well it fits, sort of. Had to do some quick dremel work. :)

Luckily the Minja is short enough for an optical drive to fit. Next problem is to figure out were to put my 3.5" HDD. I might skip the DVD-RW and only connect it via USB when needed. Then I can keep the WD GP in its Quiet Drive.

Wow, it JUST fits :)
Good job.

Skip the internal optical if your not using it.
Thats what I did.
