any other desktop/htpc cases with 120mm fans?

Enclosures and acoustic damping to help quiet them.

any other desktop/htpc cases with 120mm fans?

Post by aztec » Mon Jul 27, 2009 2:44 am

was intent on getting the nsk2400/2480, but after seeing it in person, its a bit big.

Lian-Li has a realy nice one wit the 140mm fan inside, but that's even larger.

Anything else out there with 120mm fan mounts?

I wanted to go with larger fans as I will be using this box as a HTPC and for gaming.

Thanks for any suggestions!

It is going to be e bit hard to have a computer case that has a 120mm fan and is shorter than 120mm unless you're going to have a top or bottom 120mm. If you are lucky slim cases use 80mm fans, if not somewhere around 60. If you keep the rpm low enough, moving to smaller fans is probably your best bet.

Try the Micro Fusion which is shorter than the standard Fusion/NSK2480. It's not 120mm (only 92mm) but you won't need the additional cooling if you have cooler-running hardware. It'll be more expensive than the 2480, though.

It looks like I'm SOL, and will probably end up with the 2480. The Fusion or NSK1480 would have been great.

Unfortunately, either can't take full length/height vid cards, like my GTX - which I'll be using for gaming.

Thanks!
