Removing Sonata III door

Post by line » Tue Oct 13, 2009 5:52 am

I have this case and I'd like to install it for a friend, as a replacement for a generic case w/ poor ventilation. Seeing as "power on keyboard" support is flaky on his motherboard, I would like to remove the Sonata's front door to ease access to the power button. Would that be a straightforward mod?

Sorry but how hard is it to open the door 90degrees and push a button? :?
You could always push the door round to its 260position aligned with the side of the case and leave it there.
If you really want it off there's the hammer option.

Aligning the door with the side panel could work for me, but do you know if you can push it that far?

There should be a little springy bit of plastic near the hinge at the top of the Sonata door - you can just depress that, and the door should pop right out.
