My mitx design

Post by osian » Fri Nov 06, 2009 3:08 pm

Just a quickie to get some thoughts on this mitx box i want to have made from brushed aluminium or steel.

It's obviously very simple but will hopefully look quite nice.

I want to get it laser cut and maybe have vents in the top to allow for convection cooling with a good cooler.

What you guys think?

Looks nice, but there's no airflow? I would attach the motherboard to the top of the case, and install a bottom mounted 500 RPM 120mm fan right below it. This way it'll look just as sleek but you can have great airflow with very little noise.

v2 of the mitx to make it a bit more fancy and allow a bit more room for possible upside down mounting

What do people think of this config for a full power mitx gaming sort of rig?

I have some questions. What kind of psu are you using and where are going to put it? What coolers are you going to be using for the cpu and the graphic card?
How are you planning for air to flow through the case?
