Antec 2600AMB

Post by starsky » Sat Jun 28, 2003 12:41 am

I just helped my housemate put together an Antec 2600AMB Case. This baby has a single fan PSU like the Sonata, but 300w, and an 80mm rear and front case fan option.

This case is the best CHEAP alternative to a Sonata I have seen yet.

Anyone else had a play with one of these little babies.

Very good case, under-rated. It can be made extremely quiet. Also....it won't dent like those cheap aluminum cases.

yeah, out of the box with no special silent cooling (except a quiet exhaust fan at 12v !).. it was pretty damn quiet.

System was high end, and the 7200.7 seagate was inaudible inside the case.

If this guy modded is CPU fan it would be almost as quiet as my Sonata.

the PSU on his, the 300w was quieter than my Tru380s

I have one and it's done me well.

Just keep an eye on those HDD temps!

I've seen them on sale @ CompUSA for $50. Kinda ticks me off since I paid $85 for mine last October.
