the p183 is a lot more porous, which avro alluded to.

think about it, if the box was completely sealed, how would the noise get out?

so of course the p183 won't be as quiet as the solo, it wasn't designed for that... true silent freaks can minimize the damage; seal the top fan hole off, remove the back fan, and run two fans blowing inwards, inside the upper compartment, behind the door... very low positive pressure, with no direct noise path.

you can do a lot with a p183, it's very hackable.
