In general I'm in favor of the Define R3 but if cost is really unimportant then I might go for the P183 as well, especially if size doesn't matter either. Both are very good options both in general and for your intended use.

The P183 allows you to install super-long video cards like the 6990, whereas the R3 Define doesn't. So if that isn't an issue, I would get the R3 since it has a cleaner look, both inside and out.

Thanks for the comments. Only reason I ask is that the 183 is 100 bucks on newegg till tomorrow so debating whether or not R3 is worth extra 40$ or not. Thx for the comments.

P183v3 front USB3 port is just a route back to your motherboard ecternal USB3 port. Irreponsible design from antec.

This ain't a problem any more as long as your motherboard has an internal header for front USB3.0. Just buy a USB3.0 header to normal USB3.0 connection. Connect to the Antec USB3.0 cable and it's done. I don't know if that is exactly the correct terminology but it looks like this:

Great stuff but probably not going to fit P180/182/183/183v3 without losing other front ports. And the cost of extra USB3 internal ribbons. ;(

The matter of the fact is, the existence of this hack validates the design flaw of P183v3.

Not sure I'd call it a design flaw considering the case design was probably finalized before USB3 header pinouts were spec'd in.
