Just curious about what happened to the, erm, photo that was in the announcement?
I was a little surprised at the choice of photo, but decided it was none of my business. But now that it's gone, I'd like to know what led to its removal, if you don't mind.

I changed it. It "offended" a couple of people, so I changed it. I don't understand this aversion to beauty myself, but...

But that "touch" is certainly visible elsewhere in this forum.
My better half rolled her eyes a bit & said it was a bit tacky on the front page. I respect her judgement...

Funny though. The original poster caused quite a stir too from what I read.
Here's were I got that photo. It was a poster that was part of a campaign of an Australian animal rights activists group.

IIRC, only the MacOSX spies were offended by it. (Unless someone PM'ed you or MikeC about it...) I say let the MacOSX people be offended

No, but I'm printing it out to stick on her monitor.

LOL, take it from someone who is in his 28th year of marriage. If the woman aint happy, no one in the house is happy!
I have to admit that I would be considered a bit prudish, but I have seen much worse pics than that. The nudes of the Dixie Chicks on the cover of a national magazine comes to mind.....
Oh the joys of running a site that caters to all kinds!

MikeC, I think you did the right thing.
I think your other half was right and I admire and applaude your respect for her. ( 'Big Tick' emoticon)
However, it's also a shame she's gone ()
Mixed comment I know... I blame it on the sheep..... or goats

Mike,
Saw the pix in the forum and had no problem with it at all. When it showed up on the home page a day or so later it grabbed my attention but I thought it "cheapened" the look of the site somehow. Not quite sure how to say it, but there was something about it sitting there that struck me. When I logged on today I thought it was "bumped" to make the announcement smaller after the ARM review announcement was posted.

At least SPCR doesn't have its own
Babe Thread like a certain other tech site that I frequent.

Errr...I just read the thread title
I didn't mean for the title to be an imperative.
I meant to say 'Thanks MikeC'
Ok...back to your regular scheduled program

I didn't before, but I just followed Wrah's link above.
That picture of her with the chicks actually doesn't do her justice!

Funny, that's the way I read it anyway.
