EMERGENCY !!!!!

Post by burcakb » Sun Oct 03, 2004 12:39 pm

Macrumors has managed to get us onto their overtake list. They're gaining at a rate of 2000 points per day.

THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE.

Calling all good folders and to-be folders to take up the banner once again. With our current number of folders we should be doing 50K per day, not 40K.

Indeed, if it weren't for some new high producing folders, most notably VikingDude, then we'd be getting pounded by macrumours.

To overcome this threat we need to get those folders who have slackened off or who have left the fold to start back up at full pace. Remember, every small contribution counts and in the end the project benefits from our increased efforts.

Looks like I've chosen a bad time to put everything on pause again. With four to six cpus folding away in my bedroom, the heat is just too damn much. Even with the window open and a fan going 24/7 (which kills the purpose of having silent computers if I have to listen to the fan).

Sorry folks, but my 2-4k per week will be missing. Again.

Thanks silencery. It's the joining that counts. Every little bit helps. TRC-13s are rare :)

Unfortunately, I lost 6 folding processors yesterday at my old workplace.

They took the machines down to move to another facility.

Hopefully, they won't be down too long and they won't notice FAH installed as a service on the machines.

Expect my production to drop considerably for a while since one machine I lost was a Xeon.

It's pretty sad that I hit the top producers list!

On a side note, my new CPU arrived today!

Hmm cool quiet HPTC box.... folding points.... quiet MythTV....folding points

Argh! The pressure!

What config are you running? I put together a MythTV box with a 2400+ XP-M and run F@H on it 24/7 - cpu load temps are four degrees above case temp - right now the cpu is at 39oC.. so I don't have to choose between "quiet HPTC box...." or "folding points.... ".

Where the heck did p2p-community come from?

They are going like a rocket.
