PPD Declines?
I was about to ask what was going on with team SPCR and our daily/weekly point decline, but checked the summaries on other teams too. Everybody seems to be slowing down.
I noticed at home that I'm getting a lot more tinkers and less gromacs. Has Stanford changed their point allocations across the board? What's the story behind the overall point declines?

Hmm... It seems that we have gone down to 48000ppd, couple of weeks ago it was 56000.
Actually, I was thinking the team was doing well, because for the last couple of weeks, so many people have blown past me (269-270th place) that I could hardly move up despite getting ~40 PPD.
My PPD has not changed recently but then again I only fold tinkers anyway.
Currently in 269th place, probably will go down to 270th tomorrow.
But in this case, my loss is the team's gain.
(Just out of curiosity what kind of PPD are people getting with Athlon64s or P4s, I would like to compare to my 1.3Tbird)

There are just less WU's with a bonus availlable. They are probably analysing the data for those projects now, then they tweak them a bit and release them again.
P4 2.8GHz (Northwood) ~110PPD
A64 3000+ (Winchester) ~110PPD
Athlon 850MHz (Thunderbird) ~30PPD
VIA C3 1GHz ~15PPD (But this one is used for other things at the same time.)
(But when the P4 or A64 get WU's with a bonus, the PPD doubles ofcourse.)

There are always a plentiful supply of tinkers, but the number of gromacs available seems to have dropped in comparison (reading from server status page). I've had a couple recently, but then I'm on my 4th tinker - 2 weeks ago I hadn't had one for months. Fortunately the nominal PPD is similar to the other small WUs I had before so it could be worse.
(2 weeks, cansan! )
